About Our Fields
We have seven varieties and over 25,000 trees on our 33-acre farm. Each species has its own distinctive qualities and fragrances.
With thousands to choose from, the perfect tree to grace your home this Christmas season is here on the farm!
There are two ways to get a tree on our farm, pre-tagging or reservations.
A Note From Mrs. Wegmeyer
As a Mom of 3 kids, the day after Thanksgiving used to give me incredible anxiety. I worried that I wouldn’t be able to get a nice tree for my family if I didn’t haul everyone out of bed at 6:45 to get to the tree farm by 7:30.
If I overslept or the kids were slow to move, we would be waiting in lines for hours. I hope the reservation system will provide others with a sense of relief. You can get a tall and beautiful tree at Moose Apple in December.
We survey the field and know exactly how many trees we have of each size, which means we are only offering the appropriate number of reservations so everyone can take a fully-grown tree home with them. This is even the case for the family that makes their reservation for Dec. 15!
Pre-tagging
Come out to the farm in the fall to find your perfect tree. Some folks prefer this option, as they have more time in the fall to explore our fields.
Once you pre-tag your tree, you will make an appointment to return to cut your tree in November/December. Many folks decorate their tree in the field, so they can easily find it when they return.
No appointment necessary.
10 AM – 4 PM
October: 12-14, 19-20, 26-27
November: 2-3, 9-10
Reservations
New this year, we have an online reservation system opening on Monday, November 4 to book your timeslot to come out and cut your tree.
No need to worry about long lines, and the question if you will get a tree.
Upon check-in, you will pick up a handsaw and sled to pull your tree.
Once you find your tree, you cut it (assistance provided on request), and we drill it for stand straight tree stands, shake it clean & bale it. We also help you tie it on your vehicle for transport.
No reservations are needed to come and pick a pre-cut Fraser Fir.
Pre-cut Large Fraser Fir Trees
For those that don’t want to explore the field and cut a tree, we have a fantastic supply of premium pre-cut Fraser Fir trees.
These trees are anywhere from 6 foot to 11 foot tall available and available for purchase on the farm with no appointment necessary.
Extra-Large Fraser Fir Trees
We have a limited number of spectacular Fir trees between 12 and 13 feet. These premium trees must be purchased online to guarantee your extra large tree.
